Corte Madera Powder Room
Sometimes the design drives the materials and other times the materials drive the design. In this case, a stunning single white vein running the length of this perfectly simple black soapstone captured the moment. It was from this single white vein that the vision for this long and narrow jewel box powder room took place. The integrated soapstone sink allows the white vein to remain uninterrupted. Simply painting the walls would not support the ethereal potential created from this special find, so gold splattered wallpaper bestows a star-scape background to the scene. A lone moon pendant balances the asymmetry created by the functionally located sink. The industrially designed plumbing fixtures provide an aesthetic contrast to the specialty selection of the brass finish.
