Corte Madera Master Bedroom
The first view of this Corte Madera bedroom is to highlight the custom side tables (designed by Holly Hulburd). The angled book shelf at the bottom is both practical and stylish. The askew bookcase has been a trend lately. It provides a little extra storage while also keeping the look light and airy.
The Book Nook
I’m particularly fond of using a Bay window as a reading nook, particularly in a bedroom. What better place to get cozy with a good book?
The pillows in this window seat are custom made, from fabric I selected to look great with the cushion. The cushion fabric was a well priced, durable fabric in a super hot color. So it was the place we had to start. Although pillows come during the finishing touches, it is a good idea to have the fabrics as part of the entire selection process.
There are two drawers to keep various bedroom accessories out of site, while the shelf in the middle puts the reading list on display. This comfy book nook comes complete with the books and the sunshine. It’s located in front of the heating vent, so curling up with a good book on a winter’s night will still be snuggly as well.
